The restaurant at the Opera on Holmen is now re-emerging under a new name: Am\u00e9lie. The restaurant is now taking a significant step beyond its former identity as Almanak, presenting a refined gastronomic concept in more atmospheric surroundings\u2014and, in doing so, a clearer narrative of what a restaurant in a modern cultural venue can offer.<\/p>\n\n
Am\u00e9lie at the Opera is an exceptional modern Danish brasserie\u2014a place where classic French craftsmanship meets seasonal Danish produce, and where tradition and innovation go hand in hand. The restaurant has been created as an integrated part of the Opera\u2019s overall experience, while maintaining a clear ambition to stand strong as an independent destination.<\/p>\n\n
OPEN TO ALL\u2014ALSO WITHOUT A PERFORMANCE TICKET<\/strong>With its new name and concept, Am\u00e9lie aims to strengthen the narrative.<\/p>\n\n Here, the doors are open to everyone. You do not need a ticket to enjoy a memorable experience, and with its own new entrance, Am\u00e9lie will be a place where you are always welcome to dine.<\/p>\n\n With Am\u00e9lie, LOCA and The Royal Danish Theatre aim to strengthen the story of the Opera as an open cultural venue and Am\u00e9lie as a destination in its own right\u2014because whether you are an opera guest, a local, a tourist, or simply curious about a gastronomic experience with views of both harbour and horizon, you are welcome. The ambition is for more people to experience the iconic building and the views over the harbour and Amalienborg, whether they are attending a performance or not.<\/p>\n\n \u201cThe Opera is one of the most beautiful and distinctive cultural venues in Denmark, and the building was, in its time, gifted to all Danes.
